Contemporary Kitchens

Contemporary, or shaker style kitchens are incredibly versatile.

Oak and timber finishes are the traditional shaker style and can be featured throughout the kitchen or in one feature area.

Painted styles are equally popular, with light colours creating a cottage effect, or a high gloss finish with metallic handles and sparkly worktops which can create a modern sophisticated feel to the shaker style.
Historically the Shakers were a mid 18th century breakaway group from the Quakers and their design of door and drawer fronts were the embodiment of simplicity combined with fine craftsmanship and functionality. The fronts always have a four piece frame with a flat centre panel.
